More than a class, more than a teacher

I have been taking English speaking classes on Amazing Talker since August.
I was just randomly looking for someone professional to practice talking in English with me originally, while I met a wonderful teacher on that platform by chance.

She’s a Canadian teaching linguistics in one university in Japan.
Merely a few minutes after our first class began, I was completely attracted by her soothing voice and humorous tone. Only one fifty-minute class wasn’t able to satisfy my desire for understanding more about her as well as her viewpoints towards specific interesting topics, not even close.
Therefore, I decided to take her classes regularly, even if they were actually expensive to students like me. I didn’t even hesitate for a second before I pressed the button to pay. It was also the first time that my parents had no objection or any opinion about my purchases, their attitude was totally different from the last time they saw me wearing a new dress from UNIQLO. Even though they didn’t pay for either of them.

We talk about almost everything.
When I told her that broke up with my ex boyfriend, being wretched and confused, she just listened to me carefully in the beginning, but also shared some of her afflicting dating experiences before with me after I told the whole story.
When I imitated the way my professor taught in my class, I could see and hear her laughter through the screen, also a lot of authentic feedback.
Even if there were thousands of miles between us physically, I felt that we were close mentally.

She’s indeed an excellent teacher, telling me about a bunch of things that I never heard of before, including but not limited to English-related knowledge.
While sometimes she’s more like a good friend that I’ve known for several years.
She always talks in a reassuring way; it seems that whatever I tell her, she would be able to give me wise advice, thus make me feel less panicked and anxious.
This weekly online conversation class is no longer just a class for me, it’s the time that I can talk about something I don’t want to tell others.
And I know she’ll listen to me.
